CX/TX Race Reads - With a slightly narrower toebox and tighter heel than the Competition reads and less volume than the Sport reads. Designed for riding with a very high cadence, higher pressure and a slimmer fit. The wide version offers 15 mm extra volume at the ball of the foot compared to the standard wide last.
Lake Race 100% carbon fiber sole. Available in 3-hole cleat pattern. CX302 uses Lake's patented dual sole system. The insole is a semi-flexible carbon fiber platform that gives the foot some flexibility at the ball of the foot, where the foot tends to swell and where hot spots or numbness normally occur. The insole hangs over the outer rigid carbon sole. Thanks to this system, we can use an extremely stiff carbon outsole without sacrificing driving comfort.
