Opt for optimal power transfer
The cooperation between the body and the bike consists of three contact points. The seat, hands and feet. The feet transmit the forces from the muscles through the pedal system to the pedals. It's also the only point where you're mechanically fixated on your bike. Correctly positioned cleats are therefore essential. The front, rear, rotation and lateral capabilities of this system must be precisely adjusted to prevent instability, overloading muscles, joints and pressure points.
During this process, I use the idmatch Cleat Fit system. This is the first system that allows measurements from the foot to be transferred directly to the sole of the shoe. The system works with laser beams, making aligning the cleats with the pedal axle very easy and highly accurate. Thanks to this system, it is also possible to flawlessly transfer cleats from old shoes to new shoes.
Depending on your pedal system and the information from the previous steps, we adjust the cleats. I will also guide you through the different types and brands of pedal systems that the market offers, all with slightly different features. We'll discuss whether your pedals are a good fit for you. We also look at whether insoles can be of added value for you.
