The Thinsulate™ 200gr insulation, together with a waterproof membrane, ensures that your feet stay warm and dry from the inside out. The outside of the shoe is made of Clarino™ microfiber, which is not only waterproof and durable, but also much smoother and lighter than leather. The fiberglass reinforced nylon sole provides medium stiffness while cycling. The sole also features an advanced rubber compound that provides traction at all times in wet conditions. The M4 BOA closure is extra robust and can be operated easily. Even in wet conditions or with gloves on. The Click-Fit Quick Release System makes it easy to put on and take off the shoe. The extra flap over the instep and the reflective logo on the side complete this shoe. All in all, a very versatile top shoe for the most extreme racing adventures!

CX/TX Competition Reads - With a profile specifically designed for bikes with a very high cadence and higher pressure, our Competition reads have a more curved profile than the Sport reads. The main differences are a longer distance between the toes and the heel, a tighter heel and a slightly wider toe box so that the foot can expand when the pedal pressure is high.

The CX146 is built on Lake's amazing fiberglass injected nylon sole. Lake's Nylon sole is world renowned for its uncompromising comfort and performance. No other injected nylon sole offers the same level of stiffness or comfort.
The upper is made of softshell fabric, water-resistant microfiber, Thinsulate 200gr insulation and a waterproof membrane, making this a highly water-resistant cycling shoe that is great in a variety of conditions. Clarino microfiber offers great durability and the flexibility of leather while significantly reducing weight.
BOA® Fit System M4 closure. Built for gloves and freezing temperatures, the M4 closure defies sand, mud and ice. In combination with the Click-Fit quick release, the system makes it easy to put on and take off.
The upper is treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) coating that will wear out over time. We recommend applying a DWR spray 1-2 times a year for average riders and every 2-3 wet rides for daily riders. This shoe is suitable up to -4 degrees Celsius.
