The outside of the shoe is made of Clarino™ microfiber, which is not only waterproof and durable, but also much smoother and lighter than leather. The fiberglass reinforced nylon sole provides medium stiffness while cycling. The sole also features an advanced rubber compound that provides traction at all times in wet conditions. The M4 BOA closure is extra robust and can be operated easily. Even in wet conditions or with gloves on. The Click-Fit Quick Release System makes it easy to put on and take off the shoe. CX/TX Competition Reads - With a profile specifically designed for bikes with a very high cadence and higher pressure, our Competition reads have a more curved profile than the Sport reads. The main differences are a longer distance between the toes and the heel, a tighter heel and a slightly wider toe box so that the foot can expand when the pedal pressure is high.
Supergrip Enduro sole with Ice Lock anti-slip inserts. The MX146 not only has Lake's legendary fibreglass injected nylon sole, but also one of the most technically advanced rubber soles. The Supergrip rubber sole features ICE LOCK profile inserts, which are vertically injected micro glass fibers that grip almost all surfaces. This gives you a wet weather cycling shoe that is secure and stable under all conditions.
The upper is made of softshell fabric, water-resistant microfiber, Thinsulate 200gr insulation and a waterproof membrane, making this a highly water-resistant cycling shoe that is great in a variety of conditions. Clarino microfiber offers great durability and the flexibility of leather while significantly reducing weight.
BOA® Fit System M4 closure. Built for gloves and freezing temperatures, the M4 closure defies sand, mud and ice. In combination with the Click-Fit quick release, the system makes it easy to put on and take off.
The upper is treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) coating that will wear out over time. We recommend applying a DWR spray 1-2 times a year for average riders and every 2-3 wet rides for daily riders. This shoe is suitable up to -4 degrees Celsius.
